Communities for Work Plus
Communities for Work Plus is a Welsh Government funded project that operates in Torfaen and other areas across Wales. The project acts as wraparound support for the ESF funded Communities for Work Project.
Both projects work side by side to support those who are unemployed across Torfaen, and those who need to break down barriers to get back into work. Those barriers could be anything from childcare to training needs, lack of transport, low confidence and clothing for interviews. All support is tailored for individual needs to break down barriers to getting into work.
Support can be offered in a 1:1 setting or through work clubs held daily throughout Torfaen and to suit each individual. Intensive mentoring is offered in order to provide beneficial assistance to enable all individuals to achieve sustainable employment.

Self-Employment
The Communities for Work Plus project has a dedicated Employer Engagement Officer who has expertise in supporting participants who wish to venture into self-employment.
