Health and Work Survey

Since April 2020, we have continued to support our participants despite the difficulties relating to Covid-19. Even though our support has been different to how we usually work, we have still made a difference.

We have grown our presence on social media. You can now find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Search for us @cfwplustorfaen or scan the QR code below using your smartphone camera to take you directly to any of our pages or our website.

Are you concerned about working during the pandemic? Are you worried about how to approach an employer with your concerns? If you would like more information about how workplaces are safe during Covid-19, our Covid in the Workplace course make the difference to you.

Danny Moreton loved the outdoors and he loved animals. Danny particularly loved dogs and had a dream to be self-employed and use his love of walking to offer a dog walking and dog sitting business.

The Wellbeing Service came along to our Work Club at The Power Station today to provide free health checks including blood pressure checks and advice.

An Opportunities Fair for employment and volunteering opportunities is being held at Blaenavon Workmen's Hall, Wednesday 25th September, 2pm-5pm. 

Garndiffaith resident Bernard Williams has launched a brand new gardening service business in Torfaen, specialising in garden clearance and bespoke garden design and creation work. 

Supported by both Communities for Work Plus and the local Department for Work and Pensions team, Bernard received business related support which included planning, marketing and promotion, insurance and equipment funding.

Don’t miss out!!… if your child is entering Reception /Year 3 or Year 10 in September 2019 and receives free school meals, they are eligible for the school uniform grant.

Local lady Nicole Morris from Penygarn has realised her lifelong dream of opening and running her own hair salon.

Based in Pontypool Town, Nicole has worked for the past six months refurbishing and re-designing the premises, putting Sweet Pixie Hair Salon firmly on the map.
